Operation Flaming Dart:
History: President Lyndon B. Johnson approved Operation Flaming Dart in retaliation
against a mortar attack. It was a two-part campaign, the first part was to bomb
a NVA camp close to Dong Hoi.
Game Info: The US start with a small island (Doa Con Co) with two airfields and a dock. The
US must attack the mainland which contains three control points taken over
normally, and three air towers that must be destroyed. The NVA must defend the
points and can attack and destroy the US bases.

Landing Zone Albany:
History: After assaulting Ia Drang, the US decided to occupy a landing zone. However the
US were ambushed by NVA reserve troops, who killed 155 soldiers and injured 124,
leaving around 120 remaining.
Game Info: US must push through the NVA's territory to capture the landing zone. The US have
almost no vehicle support, since it was planned as an infantry operation. The
NVA must defend their points and the landing zone, was well as keep their
vehicles out of US hands.

The Siege of Khe Sahn:
History: After being deployed at Lang Vei, the US soldiers decided to move to the near by
province of Khe Sahn. The NVA eventually surrounded the US troops and a long 77
day battle started. This was one of the longest and bloodiest conflicts in the
war.
Game Info: US must defend their installment in Khe Sahn from NVA troops. The US soldiers
must move out of the base and capture other points to stop the bleeding of
tickets. Meanwhile the NVA must defend their points and try to take the
installment.

Operation Hastings:
History: The US Marines and the Army of the Republic of Vietnam decided to attack a large
NVA force in Operation Hastings, after failing at several scouting missions.
This battle was the largest combined military operation in the war to date.
Game Info:
US and NVA start on opposite sides of the map and can jump in land, sea and air
vehicles. The map is filled with jungles and forests along with a river running
throughout the map. The two main bases can be captured, but the original owner
of the base have a second respawn point inside the base to take back control.
Other than the two bases there are four neutral control points.

Quang Tri-1968:
History: Another target in the attacks launched during the New Year's cease-fire was an
attack by the NVA on the city of Quang Tri.
Game Info: US controls four control points. the NVA must cross the river and attack the
city. The streets are ruined and very small, making for a lot of close-quater
fights.

Quang Tri-1972:
History: ARVN troops attacked the occupied city of Quang Tri. The city would not be
considered captured until a citadel in the center of the town was captured. The
battle involved around 40,000 troops. This city was also attacked by NVA
soldiers, which is another mission in BFV.
Game Info: Takes place inside
the city of Quang Tri. Infantry and close-quarter combat makes up the majority
of this map.

Operation Game Warden:
History: On January 16th, 1965, US troops discovered a NVA shipment of weapons was
traveling up the banks of the Mekong Delta. In Operation Game Warden the US sent
in soldiers to prevent the shipment.
Game Info: US must attack NVA with attack helicopters, armored carrier ships, and PBR's.
Coordinated attacks will work best. The river running through the map also
provides for some fun battles on water.

The Ia Drang Valley:
History: Based on the battle that took place on November 14, 1965, this was the first
major battle between NVA and US soldiers. The US troops had the support of
artillery and B52 bomber air strikes. The US ended up victorious causing almost
2,000 casualties for the NVA.
Game Info: US starts off at an air base that has several landing zone points that can be
carried and deployed behind enemy lines. The NVA has 4 control points, three in
the hills and one near the river.

Hue 1968:
History: A cease-fire was declered for a New Years celebration.
During this time the NVA launched a suprise assault against several targets, one
being the city of Hue.
Game Info: Hue supports the new evolution mode with Reclaiming Hue being the second map. US and NVA start on opposite sides of the large city of Hue. It contains four major hotspots, with one of them in the middle of the city on an island.

Reclaiming Hue:
History: US and ARVN troops are assigned to recapture Hue.
Game Info: Hue supports the new evolution mode with Hue 1968 being the first map. US and NVA start on opposite sides of the large city of Hue. It contains four major hotspots, with one of them in the middle of the city on an island. If played on Evolution the losing team must start on the bridge and must take over the city. Also, in this map the buildings have been destroyed.
